Restylane® is the first and only FDA-approved dermal filler made of a biodegradable non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. It is manufactured by a unique method in the Q-Med Laboratories in Sweden. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body so it naturally dissipates into the body with time. The Restylane® treatment consists of this clear gel being injected into the skin with a very thin needle, restoring the natural volume underneath the wrinkle as it lifts and smoothes. Restylane® is an injectable gel which should always administered by a trained, medically qualified practitioner, such as the experts at Bellissimo Medical Spa & Salon. Restylane enhances your natural looks by restoring your skin’s volume, creating softness and revitalizing your appearance.

Perlane® is used to smooth moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds). Perlane® generally lasts for about 6 months. It has been found to be a safe dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin. Perlane® is injected into the skin with an ultra fine needle. It plumps the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds. Perlane®’s water-loving nature attracts and binds water molecules to help maintain volume. Perlane® is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. The hyaluronic acid in Perlane® is a crystal clear gel that is chemically cross-linked (the long chemical strands are tied together) to delay breakdown by skin enzymes. Perlane® is non-animal-based and free from animal protein. Allergy pre-testing is not necessary.

Radiesse ® is another safe alternative to collagen and other leading dermal fillers offered at Bellissimo Medical Spa & Salon. Radiesse ® provides both immediate and long-lasting correction of wrinkles and folds. It stimulates the body to produce new collagen and not only fills in wrinkles, but also provides facial volume for a natural look that lasts. Juvederm is an injectable hyaluronic acid filler that is FDA approved to last up to 1 year. It is used for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds being ideal for those wishing to fill and soften their "laugh lines" and nasolabial folds. Juvederm is a safe and effective nonsurgical wrinkle treatment that requires no allergy testing.

How do Dermal Fillers work?
Upon being injected beneath the skin's surface, the Dermal Filler adds natural volume and lift to smooth wrinkles and folds. The filler integrates into dermal tissue then attracts and binds to water molecules to help maintain volume and therefore a more youthful and healthy appearance. The Dermal Filler is gradually degraded by the body's own mechanism and disappears without any residue. All of this takes about 30 minutes, leaves no marks or scars, and the results can be seen immediately and last six months or even longer.

Are Dermal Fillers safe?
Yes. Because of their careful design, they work with your body, not against it. They are a naturally occurring substance that has been used safely by dermatologists and plastic surgeons for years. Because many Dermal Fillers are non-animal-based and fully biocompatible, allergy testing is not required. Dermal Fillers have minimal side effects and are extremely safe. The most common side effect is slight bruising, which is seen in about 20% of patients. Some have experienced localized swelling at the injection point. Tenderness, redness, and very rarely acne-like formations have appeared. When a reaction does occur, its average lifespan is only a few weeks, and is typically described as moderate and mild. Where can Dermal Fillers be used?
Dermal Fillers are an exciting injection procedure that can get rid of wrinkles and enhance areas of your face immediately.
